Born in Transvaal, South Africa, Lizelle Lee is a destructive right-handed opener known for her ability to set the tone early. She made her international debut at just 21 and soon established herself as a regular for the Proteas Women. One of her most memorable moments came at the 2014 Women’s World T20 in Bangladesh, where she was part of a record-breaking, unbeaten 163-run opening partnership with Dane van Niekerk against Pakistan — the highest of its kind in women’s T20Is at the time. With experience across 100 ODIs and 82 T20Is, Lee brings proven big-match temperament. She was acquired by Delhi Capitals for INR 30 lakh at the TATA WPL 2026 Auction and is set to add firepower and experience to the three-time finalists as they look to take the final step in the 2026 season.
