Jasia Akhter was acquired at INR 20 lakh by Delhi Capitals in the inaugural TATA WPL auction. A powerful hitter, Jasia made waves in the domestic arena with her consistent performances across major tournaments like the 2022-23 Senior Women's T20 Challenger Trophy, the 2022 Senior Women's T20 Trophy, and the 2023 Senior Women's One Day Trophy, among others. With consistent knocks at healthy strike-rates, Akhter became the first woman from Jammu and Kashmir to be picked in the WPL in 2023. She was released by DC ahead of the 2024 season.
