A dynamic right-handed batter from Haryana, Deeya Yadav has quickly made a name for herself as one of India’s brightest young talents. Inspired by her state-mate Shafali Verma, Deeya enjoyed a standout 2025–26 domestic season, scoring 298 runs in eight innings at an outstanding average of 59.50 and a strike rate of 128 in the Sr. Women’s T20 Trophy 2025 and was also Haryana’s second highest run-getter. She carried that momentum into the inter-zonal T20s, where her strike rate climbed to 150, playing a key role in North Zone’s run to the final. Renowned for her strong base, clean striking and sharp hand-eye coordination, Deeya’s fearless approach sets her apart. At just 16, she was signed by Delhi Capitals at the TATA WPL 2026 Auction for INR 10 lakh, becoming the youngest player ever picked in the tournament. The TATA WPL 2026 now offers the perfect platform for her to showcase her immense potential alongside captain Jemimah Rodrigues.
