Parshavi Chopra was acquired for her base price of INR 10 lakh by UP Warriorz at the inaugural WPL auction. Parshavi, leg-spinning all-rounder, rose to prominence at the 2023 ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup, finishing as the second-highest wicket-taker with 11 wickets in six innings and playing a key role in India’s title win. Initially a medium pacer, she switched to leg spin, drawing inspiration from Shane Warne. Studying Warne’s bowling closely has helped her develop variations, including flight, spin, and deceptive googlies, which were on full display during the tournament.
