Ellyse Perry's acquisition by RCB for INR 1.7 Crore was one of the biggest moments of the first TATA WPL auction. Perry, a bonafide superstar of the mighty Australian team and a winner of eight World Cups across ODIs and T20Is, made the kind of massive impact expected of her in the second WPL season itself. With 347 runs at 69.40 and 7 wickets in 9 games, Orange Cap winner Perry helped RCB clinch their maiden TATA WPL title in 2024. Despite RCB being unable to make the 2025 qualifiers, Perry shone bright again and ended the season as the 2nd highest run-scorer with 372 runs.
