Asha Sobhana is a seasoned bowling all-rounder who was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 10 lakh in the inaugural TATA WPL Auction. Proving that ‘Age is just a number’, the 32-year-old delivered a sensational 2024 season, emerging as RCB’s trump card with the ball in their title-winning campaign. She finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker of the league with 12 wickets. Sobhana also created history as the first RCB bowler to claim a five-wicket haul in the WPL when she finished with match-winning figures of 5/22 vs UPW. Her stellar performances earned her a well-deserved India call-up at 32, and she has had a good start to her T20I career with 9 wickets in her first 6 matches. Injuries proved to be a big hindrance in 2025 as she also had to miss the WPL season, but she is now back and raring to go for UP Warriorz (UPW) in 2026.
