Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Sophie Devine is a dynamic all-rounder and a proven leader. Since her international debut in 2006, Devine has dominated both ODIs and T20Is with her explosive batting and effective bowling. As New Zealand’s captain, she led her team to victory in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. In her first season with RCB, Devine made an immediate impact, finishing as the team’s highest run-scorer with 266 runs including a brilliant 99 vs Gujarat Giants. Her experience and match-winning performances were instrumental in RCB’s triumphant TATA WPL 2024 campaign. With more than 7,500 international runs to her name, 36-year-old Devine is still going strong. After missing WPL 2025, Devine is back in the league with a new team - Gujarat Giants (GG).
