Nicknamed 'the Megastar', Lanning is one of the best captains in the business and can blow away oppositions with her aggressive batting. She is a winner who built a champion Australian team in the last few years. She's a good reader of the game and a great tactician, a testament of which is her glittering trophy cabinet which consists of four T20 World Cups (2014, 2018, 2020, 2023) and one 50-over ODI World Cup (2022) and a Commonwealth Games gold medal. She's led Australia to a world record 26 wins in a row. Lanning was the highest run-getter in the inaugural edition of the WPL with 345 runs from 9 innings. In November 2023, she announced her international retirement at 31. She will be looking to add another trophy to her cabinet with Delhi Capitals.
