Born in 2003, Madhya Pradesh’s Kranti Gaud is a right-arm medium pacer, swings the ball effectively, and surprises batters with sharp bouncers, thus adding great depth to any bowling attack she is part of. She also has the power to clear the ropes, making her a valuable player down the order. Kranti played a key role in Madhya Pradesh’s 2024 Senior Women’s One Day Cup victory, taking 17 wickets, including a match-winning 4/25 in the final against Bengal. That kick-started a dream year in 2025 for the 22-year-old. She played in her maiden TATA WPL for UP Warriorz, cleaning up Meg Lanning for her maiden wicket before also taking a 4-fer later in the season. She made her ODI and T20I debuts after the WPL, impressing right away, and thus featured in India’s historic ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup winning campaign, where she picked up nine wickets in eight games. With the ability to trouble batters with her pace and consistency, Kranti is expected to play a key role in UPW’s title hopes in WPL 2026 and beyond.
