A multiple world cup winner, the off-spin bowling all-rounder is a crucial asset for Australia in all formats and has also already shown her qualities in the WPL, picking up 25 wickets and striking at over 141 with the bat after 25 games. Recognising her leadership qualities, GG made her the captain ahead of WPL 2025 and Gardner, who was again in fine form, led the team to their maiden playoff appearance.
