Anushka Sharma became the most expensive uncapped buy in the TATA WPL 2026 Mega Auction after Gujarat Giants (GG) onboarded her for INR 45 lakh. 22-year-old Sharma, who bats in the middle order and bowls right-arm medium pace, is regarded as one of the promising all-rounders in Indian domestic cricket. Sharma’s performance in the Senior Women’s T20 trophy, during which she scored 207 runs and also picked up nine wickets, played a big role in her WPL selection. She will now rub shoulders with some of the world’s best players, including the likes of Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, and Renuka Singh Thakur.
