Anjali Saravani was bought for INR 55 lakh by the UP Warriorz in the first-ever auction. The Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals, and UP Warriorz were the three teams that were locked in a small bidding war before the Warriorz clinched the deal. Anjali brings the left-arm pace dimension to the team. After years of hard-work and consistent performances, she broke into the national side in the 2022 series against Australia at home, making her T20I debut at the DY Patil Stadium. She had a very good 2022-23 domestic season, helping Railways and Central Zone clinch the Senior Women's T20 Trophy and Senior Women's Inter Zonal T20 Trophy, respectively. She finished as highest wicket-taker in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy (17 wickets from 10 innings at 5.70 and econ. rate of 3.34) and joint-highest wicket-taker in the Senior Womens Inter Zonal T20 (10 wickets from 6 innings at 9.50 and econ. rate of 4.50).
