About Amelia Kerr

Born on October 13, 2000, Amelia Kerr is an all-rounder from Wellington, New Zealand. Amelia is a right-handed batter and a leg-break bowler. Kerr made her international debut in 2016 and went on to become the youngest cricketer to score a double-century in international cricket, when she was just seventeen years old. Kerr's all-round abilities make her a significant addition to any squad, and there were no surprises at the inaugural WPL auction as the Kiwi all-rounder started a bidding war that was ultimately won by the Mumbai Indians, who got Kerr for INR 1 Crore. Kerr's ability to deceive the batters with variations and turn makes her a crucial member of MI's bowling attack. She had a good outing in the first season, finishing as the joint second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament and also scored 149 runs at a SR of 133.
