Alyssa Healy WPL Career Profile & Stats

About Alyssa Healy

Alyssa Healy was snapped up for INR 70 lakh by the UP Warriorz at the first-ever WPL auction. Healy is leading a well-balanced Warriorz unit. An explosive batter, Healy can destroy bowling attacks and set the platform in the powerplay. She forms the core of the top order. She is a big tournament, big match player. Time and again, she's come up with match-defining knocks in the world tournaments. The whirlwind knock of 75 off 39 balls against Indian in the final of 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup at the MCG helped Australia clinch the trophy. She was named the Player of the Match. She went berserk in the 2022 ICC Women's ODI World Cup, smashing 129 off 107 balls against West Indies in the semis and then a mammoth 170 off 138 balls in the final against England to help Australia lift the trophy. She was named the Player of the final and the series as well. The 32-year-old holds the record for the highest individual scores by a wicket-keeper in T20Is (148 vs SL) and ODIs (170 vs ENG). She also brings her sharp wicket-keeping skills to the table and a wealth of experience. She led UPW to the Eliminator in the first edition of the WPL. Healy succeeded Meg Lanning as Australia's full-time captain across all formats in December 2023.
